Patricia Burba,

Dr. Patricia Burba is a graduate of Wellesley College and The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She also received post-graduate training in advanced restorative dentistry at The Dawson Academy. She has been practicing dentistry in Massachusetts since 1995.

In addition to working full time, Dr. Burba enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Her favorite hobbies include scuba diving, playing guitar, camping and hiking. She recently passed the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) Advanced Scuba Diving Certification and looks forward to exploring new dive sites in the future.

Swaitha Maripuri, D.M.D.
Dr. Maripuri received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Maripuri continues to teach full body anatomy at Tufts University School of Medicine part time while working with us! Dr. M is also currently getting her Masters in Public Health through George Washington University online. She hopes to be able to help the underserved receive quality and timely dental care with her masters degree.

Dr. Maripuri has been with our office since 2010 working as a file girl, assistant, and front desk receptionist before receiving her doctorate. She is honored to rejoin the Torrisi and Burba family. While not practicing, Dr Maripuri enjoys trying new foods, traveling, and spending time with her puppy, Louie the Labradoodle.

Dr. Scarvaglieri, a native of the Merrimack Valley, began his academic journey at Central Catholic High School, where his interest in science took root. He then advanced to the University of Connecticut, earning a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on biomaterials. This choice reflected his early inclination towards blending engineering principles with medical applications. His academic path led him to the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he excelled, graduating Summa Cum Laude. His time there was marked by a deep commitment to learning and a burgeoning passion for dental medicine.
Outside the professional sphere, Dr. Scarvaglieri is an avid lover of the outdoors and physical fitness. He spends his free time skiing, hiking, and running, activities that not only keep him physically active but also offer a balance to his demanding dental career. These pursuits underscore his belief in the importance of maintaining a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle, combining professional dedication with personal passions and well-being.

Dr. Pourati is a Board Certified Periodontist. He specializes in improving gingival esthetics (gumline) implant placement and the treatment of gum diseases. Dr. Pourati graduated from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004 with a CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study) in Periodontology and a Masters Degree in Science and Dentistry. He is currently a lecturer in the Post-Doctoral Department of Periodontology, Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Pourati takes pride in his ability to put his patients at ease, with the utmost comfort, with his excellent clinical expertise.

Jacqueline Jacobson, DMD
Dr. Jacqueline Jacobson, a 1995 graduate of Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, has practiced in Massachusetts and California for close to 20 years. After receiving her degree in general dentistry, Dr. Jacobson continued her dental education at Boston University, earning both a degree in Advanced General Dentistry (1996) and Advanced Education in Endodontics (1998). She graduated from Goldman School of Dental Medicine with an award from the American Academy of Oral Medicine for achievement, proficiency and promise of Oral Medicine.
Dr. Jacobson began her career working in Newton/Brookline and the Metrowest region. In 2000, she opened her own practice in Newton and followed up by opening another practice in Marlborough in 2002. Managing her own practice has led Dr. Jacobson to build strong personal relationships with her patients and taught her how to take the fear out of Endodontics.
Dr. Jacobson continues to pursue continuing education courses to keep her up to date on the emerging trends in the dental field, which allows her to provide the best care possible to her patients. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Association of General Dentist, American Association of Advanced Education in General Dentistry, Massachusetts Dental Association, Boston University Alumni, and California Dental Association. Dr. Jacobson is also trained in Nitrous Oxide Administration, Microscopic and Surgical Endodontics, and Laser Dentistry.
